Clara A. Brunton

Clara A. Brunton, 92, of Murrysville, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Redstone Highlands in Murrysville.
She retired from Penn Hills School District as board secretary/business manager in 1976. She was hired at Penn Hills in 1938,
where she taught typing, bookkeeping and shorthand. In 1946, she was hired in the central office as the superintendent's secretary,
and finally in 1961, was appointed as the board secretary/business manager. Her tenure at Penn Hills School District spanned
38 years of service. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1938 with a degree in business education, and
was crowned as Indiana's May Queen in her senior year at the annual May Day exercises. She also earned a master's degree from
the University of Pittsburgh in 1967. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Brunton Kinsey; two grandchildren, Misty Kinsey
Lupro and her husband, Laird, and William James Kinsey and his wife, Natalie; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Lin Lupro and
Dalton James Lupro, and Madeline Noelle Kinsey and William James Kinsey II; two sisters, Jane Fitzmartin and Ruth Howe; and
a brother, James Anderson. Arrangements are being handled by the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., in Murrysville, with a memorial service
only at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, in Unity Community Church with Pastor Frank Deluce officiating. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests memorial donations be made to Unity Community Church, 215 Unity-Trestle Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15239.
